One reason I prefer the formerly male characters to be the protagonists in this series, is that someone has given covens a list of people they wish out of the way. Not because they are evil, just the opposite! However they stand (Intentionally or unintentionally) in the way of some powerful political cabal one that hopes to bring about the end.

BTW not all the female pets started out as male several began life as a member of the gender and not all of the pets are female some are used for stud reasons...

Why bring about the end, because they want to be on top for the next beginning. The Arcane/Political Cabal is based out of Chicago (and is powerful enough to get into national and international politics) with a Branches all over the world, a secondary base of Operations is in Hawaii.

The Farrier in this pic can make magical objects such as jewelery with glamor so that the antro-pets appear as the animals they mimic to the public and horseshoes that increase the speed of the ponygirls to that of a real horse.

She is a professional and no longer sees the antro-pets (need a better name) as even human so does does not denigrate the pet play victims, not with words anyway. She ignores them unless interacting with them directly as she would a real animal beast. This can sometimes destroy a person's perception of humanity more-so then embarrassing them.
