"Repeat we have incoming, they are eastbound on 435" Diane called into her radio, it was a cheap civilian model so even with the jury-rigged scrambler chips, the small unit of what appeared to be New-Army regulars likely knew that they were being observed.
"Unit patches say they are an East Coast Unit," Came the voice of James, a former Army Ranger and fellow transformee, They likely circled around the south-side since the bridge over the Missouri collapsed from the ash and snow."
"Ewww! They came through Kansas?" Alica broke in, the roads were worse on the west-side.
"Think they've pegged us?" George, one of the large minority who retained their human body asked, groaning at the real possibility of evacuation.
"Negative, they are deployed as a convoy, if it's an attack it's damn sloppy." James returned with more than a hint of disdain, "Their security is loose even for a convoy."
"The supplies!" Diane exclaimed, "They're after-"
"The supplies stored in SupTroplis." George finished, "They don't know we are squatting,...alright cut the chatter! Go with plan alpha-zulu!"
Diane gulped and checked the holster resting above the base of her tail.
